Hidden in a sea of Lance brand crackers, I noticed something odd yesterday… Nekot! What was this strange word invading my kingdom of cheap gas station crackers? Turns out (spoiler alert: I had to come home right away and Google “Nekot”), it’s Token spelled backwards! I’ve seen it all now. Even more amazing, these so called Nekots have been around for a century. I honestly think that retail snack stockers around the country (you do God’s work – thank you) have been piling these in with the crackers this whole time.
My interest was piqued when I noticed that a) Nekot apparently means “cookie sandwich”and b) these Nekots were of the Lemon Creme variety. Rod Budget loves him some lemon flavored sweets. I’m a sucker for the sour tartness of it all. But would these live up to my lofty expectations that I crafted in my brain within three seconds of seeing them? YES!!!!! Nekot Lemon Cremes are a game changer… 99 cents, 6 cookies, ample lemon filling…. NE-KOT! NE-KOT! NE-KOT!
